Dual Credit and CTE

Dual credit programs and career and technical courses, ranging from business to the sciences and manufacturing, are available at C. H. Yoe High School and offered through Temple College.

The Cameron area has several colleges that offer quality degree and certificate programs, along with core curriculum classes, providing an affordable, high-quality education for residents. 

Temple College, Temple

Located a half-hour from Cameron, Temple College is recognized for many programs, including the visual and performing arts, and is one of the premier institutions in Texas for the healthcare industry.

TSTC and MCC, Waco

Texas State Technical College and McLennan Community College are located an hour north of Cameron in Waco. TSTC has many affordable in-demand programs, including aviation, engineering, manufacturing, construction, and more. MCC also has a variety of degree and certificate programs ranging from health professions to business and technology.  

Nationally Recognized Universities

Cameron is within close proximity to three nationally recognized universities, Baylor University, Texas A&M University, and The University of Texas at Austin, as well as several other smaller universities.

Baylor University, Waco

A nationally ranked private Christian university, Baylor offers 128 bachelors, 77 masters, and 46 doctoral programs. The university is known for its cutting-edge academic research and nationally ranked graduate programs in law, business, health, nursing, the sciences, and education.

Texas A&M University, College Station 

Approximately one hour from Cameron, Texas A&M University is one of the most diversified and comprehensive public research universities in the nation. The university offers more than 130 undergraduate degrees, plus 268 graduate and professional degrees.

The University of Texas at Austin

One of the world's leading universities, UT offers a variety of undergraduate degrees, which span 13 colleges and schools and encompass more than 170 fields of study and more than 100 graduate fields of study. 

University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Belton

UMHB works closely with Baylor University and offers 58 undergraduate and a number of graduate programs, including masters and doctorate degrees.
